We know how important family is and we believe in the whole-child approach to Applied Behavior Analysis. By providing therapy within the home setting, we are capturing natural learning opportunities that present themselves in everyday life, such as getting dressed or watering the garden! We work closely with families to provide them with effective strategies for increasing independence with skills ranging from self-care to building meaningful relationships.
ABA therapy in the school setting can focus on a wide variety of skill acquisition including prerequisite skills needed for learning (e.g., transitioning from one activity to the next), teaching appropriate behaviors to replace problematic ones that may hinder academic development, or working to enhance social skills with other peers. Our therapists at Prevail are approved contractors for providing ABA services in Walton County public schools.
Community outings are a great opportunity to ensure that skills learned in the classroom, clinic, or home are generalizing to the real world. Whether it be staying close by at the grocery store, tolerating getting blood pressure taken at the doctor’s office, or learning skills necessary to cross the street, we can identify and teach effective strategies to children and families to enhance positive experiences in the community.
Each child has an individualized academic curriculum taught by a team of Florida Certified teachers and Registered Behavior Technicians. In order to attend to the individualized needs of each child, we offer a 3:1 student to staff ratio. We are approved providers for the Step Up for Students Unique Abilities Scholarship.
